Recovering from database whose server crash

Hello All,

We have a test box whose OS had just crashed. OS is Window Server 2003 and Database is Oracle 10gR2. This platform is a test system for developers and is crucial.

Fortunately we still have the datafiles, redo logs and control files. However we want to recover to another box.

I am thinking of getting another box similar to the crashed server (OS and DB) but not sure how to point the new Database to the datafiles of the OLD server.

Please, can someone advise.
