Date time conversion from UTC to Local

Hi,

I have a requirement in which i need to convert the utc time which i am getting into the local timezone which i get using the getfield value. This code is written in browser script. I am having trouble converting the UTC to local time for comparison. Can you please suggest a way to achieve this functionality.
