Integrating opscenter alerts with Tivoli / Netcool / Nagios
Opcenter generates an Incident for all qualified alerts from agents. The incident status is associated with the Alarm ID and the status of the alert is updated regularly.
The Alarm is cleared and the incident is closed when the alert is cleared.
I am using this feature to pull the Alerts information and redirecting it to third party monitoring tools.
Why?
There are certain alerts that are exclusively reported within opscenter.
For example: Hardware alerts, ASR, SMF, ZFS/Zpool, Serverpool, VM resources and other internal alerts.
Every monitoring tool has a SQL module to full information from Database. We will be using oracle db sql client.
