Set a default "Early Ship Reject Days" for all items created

Hello,

I was wondering if there's any way to set up a default (say 30 days), for the "Early Ship Reject Days" field on the Item Master?  We're being asked this question, and I can't find the answer anywhere.

It would help, as it would mean that all items created are going in the same way, and there isn't room for a manual error.
