EPro Approval confirmation notifications(emails)

EPro use to send user email that their requisition was approved. After our upgrade from 8.9 to 9.2, they stopped getting the email. We suspect it's some sort of configuration but not sure where to look. Has anyone experienced this and can guide us to get this turned back on. At this point we don't suspect a missed customization, just a configuration difference between 8.9 and 9.2
