Approach to Disable Redundant Journal Categories

Hi,

We have multiple Journal Categories erroneously defined and used of Journal Posting for similar purpose. For example, there are 2 Journal Categories, 'Manual Journal' and 'Manual Journals' which are interchangeably used. Although it is possible to rename one of these Journal Categories as 'Z-DONOTUSE', could you please advise on any other implications to be considered?
