Does JDeveloper 11g support JDK 7?

Hello 

We are on EOne 9.1 and the tools 9.1.4.6.  We have JDeveloper 11.1.1.5.0 and JDK 6.

We plan to write a BSSV to call APIs to process credit card transactions.  In order to call this vendor's APIs, we need JDK 7 to write the BSSV.  This is because this vendor needs TSL version 1.2 to connect.  Does JDeveloper 11.1.1.5.0 support JDK 7?  When I downloaded JDK 7 to my machine and pointed the JDK 7 for JDeveloper 11.1.1.5.0, it issued an error saying "JDK 7 is not supported". 

It seems that JDeveloper 12C or JDeveloper Release 2 support JDK 7.

I do not know which version of JDeveloper and JDK are supported for EOne development environment.
