409A Match and Taxing For FICA and Medicare
One of my clients is in the process of implementing a 409A Plan.
The 409A Deferral deducts and taxes per Vertex. Exempt From Taxes For Federal Withholding. Taxable For FICA and Medicare.
The 409A Distribution pays and taxes per Vertex. Taxable For Federal Withholding. Exempt For FICA and Medicare
According to the client the 409A Match should tax for FICA and Medicare. I tried setting up the match benefit and then having another benefit with the Effect On Check = 3 and 100% of the Match benefit tax, but all that does is add to Gross, which is what Effect On Check should do.
