JDE E1 : Is it possible to put a Non-Stock item on a Direct Ship (Line Type = D) line?

I am using JDE E1 9.1.

Is it possible to put a Non-Stock item on a Direct Ship (Line Type = D) line?

We have a Finished Good Item that we will always Direct Ship   from the vendor to the customer.  Wewanted to create the item as a non-stock item type (since we will not be stocking it)…however, when we create the Direct Ship line, it is requiring us to specify a location for the item, which, for a non-stock item will not exist.

Should I be creating this item as a Non-Stock Item or a Stock Item?  Any thoughts?
