ORA-12708 during DB startup

I tried to update sys.props$ for NLS_DUAL_CURRENCY  and restarting the database...


some thing went wrong while updating "sys.props$" .. database is not starting..

I am getting following error:

ORA-01092: ORACLE instance terminated. Disconnection forced

ORA-12708: error while loading create database NLS parameter NLS_DUAL_CURRENCY

Process ID: 6864

Session ID: 237 Serial number: 5

I tried to change the NLS_DUAL_CURRENCY value in pfile and tried starting with pfile.. still getting the same error.

I can only mount the database, can not open.
