Do you have to use cost method 06, Lot for Sales/Inventory Cost method if need to acheive FIFO proce

Setting up item Branch F4102 to achieve FIFO.

     Commitment Method CMGL = 2 or 3.

     Lot Exp. Date Calc. Method LECM = 1 if used 3 above.

Question 1:

Does the F4105 Cost  for Sales/Inventory have to be set to Cost Method 06, Lot.

Most items currently set to 07, Standard.

Question 2:

Does the F4101 Item Master Inventory Cost level have to be set to "3" Item/Branch/Location/Lot
