How to make a cash drawer open from EBS 11i?

Has anyone ever set up a cash drawer to open from EBS 11i? I was thinking about setting up a printer in EBS to send a print signal to a receipt printer that has a cash drawer attached to pop open the cash drawer. Has anyone done anything like this?
