Purchasing Inventory Items by Punchout

We have setup the punchout link to our supplier in iProcurement and are able to punchout successfully to their site (cXML) and have created a blanket and entered the supplier item number into the supplier item field on the blanket purchase order. When I attempt to create the blanket I get a message saying the release cannot be created since the inventory item number does not match to the requisition. Granted the two do not match, but it sounds like from Doc ID 1298937.1 (we have applied the patch) that I should be able to add the item to the blanket and receive the item into inventory. Am I missing something?
