MASS UPDATE IN INSTALL BASE IS FAILING

Hi ,

When i perform the mass update of some attributes for serial numbers, i get the below error .

************************ Begin  Report for Batch (Gene)  ************************

Instance/s in this batch completed with the following error.

Error message: The Object Version Number passed does not match with the one existing in Installed Base tables

************************ End Of Report for Batch (Gene)  ************************

please advice
