bi publisher excel report(generated using sql)

we've a bi publisher excel report(generated using sql) with 6 parameters when there is data exists in those parameters it displays the "Run date" which is the current date. However when there is no data in parameters it is displaying "null"(empty), but irrespective of data we need to get the run date as current date. Please someone help me on this@
