Can you use the same Adjustment Type (P4071) across multiple companies?

I do not want to create a new price adjustment type if I don't have to, so, can I use the same price adjustment (P4071) across multiple companies if it relates to the same line type and adjustment control code (3 - add to sales detail file)?
