PAY: Amount being prorated when employee is hired in the middle of a pay period
We have an element for School Vacation that was created to pay employees when our schools are closed. We found an employee who received a prorated amount when we were expecting them to receive their full pay for the day. The employee was paid for 2.1 hours when we were expecting them to be paid for 7 hours.
Pay Period Start: 01-OCT-2015
Pay Period End: 14-NOV-2015
Employee's start date: 12-OCT-2015
The only information we are passing is the hours, in this case 7 hours. If we try to pay this element outside of the pay period I listed the hours are not prorated. I'd like to understand why this is happening.
