RMAN backup while EBS is up -- execution failed due to binary missing or permission issues

We get an error trying to do a backup using gridcontrol RMAN backup we get this error when we choose owner of database in or host credentials (applmgr) it wants oracle12 user which is the user for the gridcontrol. This is happening in our production server. We upgraded this weekend to ebs 12.2.4 database 12.1.0.2. THis is a physical machine Linux Oracle 6. We have a test version which is a virtual and it runs perfectly fine.

Through process of elimination we were able to isolate the problem once this starts admanagedsrvctl.sh start oafm_server1

If we shut it down the backup works ... could you please give us some direction. thank you Kathy
