Watchlist error: ‘Advanced Query Error’ – ‘System could not execute the query because system find is

We are about to start using Watchlists and have come across something we haven't seen before.

When trying to create a query on a field 'Type Data' we are  Receiving ‘Advanced Query Error’ – ‘System could not execute the query because system find is suppressed’

Note that 'Type Data' field is both in the grid as well as at the top of the form.  Both fields are available for querying (have the '+' sign).

Is anyone using watchlists or encountered any issues with them?
