How to invoke an element from PublishingEventListener

Hi,

I am writing a PublishingEventListener and in that i am trying to invoke an element using ics.GetElement("test/hello",ftvalist). Each time it throws an error -12, that says unable to evaluate element.

Is there a way to call an element inside listener?
