11g R2 RMAN duplicate from Active

Does the duplicate from active reset to default or from the target values like DIRECTORIES, for instance the DATA_PUMP_DIR pointing to ORACLE_BASE/admin/<SID>/dpdump.

Recently after running for  a week I noticed this changed on an instance.
