DNFS on Oracle 12c RAC - Can's start instances on second node

 

Here are our steps to implement DNFS and I have attached my /etc/oranfstab contents as well.

 

 

1.            Stop the RDBMS

 

2.            Stop the listeners

 

3.            create the file for each server at $ORACLE_HOME/dbs/oranfstab 

 

4.            cd $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/lib;  make -f ins_rdbms.mk dnfs_on  

 

5.            start the RDBMS, if needed 

 

Oracle suggested to remove the ‘DONOTROUTE’ from the /etc/oranfstab and recycle the instances.  I just did it.  It is hanging and here is the last few lines from alert.log

 

 

ALTER DATABASE MOUNT /* db agent *//* {2:21873:55278} */
