Parent and child territory effectivity dates

Hello,

Attached screenshot of Territory  setup in territory management where Parent territory and child territory has different date effectivities.

Parent territory date effectivity is from 01-JAN-2000 - 31-DEC-2099 and child terrirory date effectivity is from 01-AUG-2013 to 31-DEC-2015.

Question to check here is,   child territory end date effectivity is approaching i.e 31-DEC-2015. Does this needs to be extended or can we keep the date (31-DEC-2015) for the child territory as it is , as the parent territory has end date effectivity as 31-DEC-2099.

Appreciate any insight or guidance on this.
