Reversed journals should have effective date as the first day of the selected reversal period
Our users complete period end reconciliation activities by 4th of the next month. After this they identify provisional journal entries to be passed for the previous month (i.e. the month being reconciled). These entries are passed with effective date as the last day of the previous month and with the reversal period as the current month.
When the Journal reversal is done, the reversed journals are created with effective date as the Sysdate. Users require that the reversed journals should be created with Effective date as first date of the reversal month. Please let me if EBS has any provision to meet this requirement.
