ZFS Resilvering Take a Long Time to Complete

Hi,

I have a ZFS Storage Appliance with a disk shelf to 20 disk of 4TB in RAID Z2, one disk failed and the hot spare it was activated but the resilvering take a long time and the performance of my applications is too slow.

My questions are:

I can stop the resilvering?

Why it takes too long?
