Unable to mark/check "Amortize Adjustment" in asset workbench when asset life is changed and subsequ

hi

good day!

i need to reverse the effect of retroactive adjustment computation in change of life of an asset. this change in estimate of life of asset must be applied prospectively.

scenario: edited the life of asset from 25yrs to 20yrs but was unable to check "Amortize Adjustment" in asset workbench then i ran depreciation. when i noticed that the computation was retroactively made, i tried to mark "Amortize Adjustment" for affected assets however, it did not reverse the adjustment amount computed.

i did try to create depreciation override but it's not working

any thoughts and ideas please
