Lot Control: Lot generation when subinventory transfer

Hello Experts,

We started with LOT control functionality for a couple of items but we are having issues since users are entering random LOT numbers into Lot field when Subinventory Transfer (and accepting negative balances) instead of pick one of existing (created when receipt) this is generating a new LOT number and a lot of inventory mismatches. Is there a way to avoid this kind of LOT generation?
