Move service contracts to a different ORG_ID (OU)?

We are on R12.1.3

We have some repair and L&D contracts that have been signed a few years ago and that are still active. One of the Operating Units (lets call this ABC OU) under which those contracts were signed has been retired or is not used anymore. All the action now occurs in one main operating unit (US). The users login to the US operating unit to perform all actions. So,  when a product comes back for repair, we call an API to terminate the contract. But the APIs fail because the environment is US and the contract is under ABC Operating Unit.
