We have concerns when changing a part-time employee to full-time with ACA.
(1)The ACA does not require we terminate prior to changing to full time, however when we do not, it creates file errors on our 1095 forms because the system has two hire dates with no termination date creating inaccurate data. 2. employees that keep their original date of hire (when going from part-time to full-time) definitely creates a 'red flag' as to why we did not offer coverage immediately, potentially causing a fine.
