When we create a CustomObject3 record via web services (linking a product to a contact) the contact

We have a home-grown ASP.NET single page app, which allows our users to create CustomObjects3 records thus linking products to

contacts or relationships or activities or opportunities. Why we were asked to create this app rather than link products to these entities

in CRMOD is immaterial for this discussion - our business users had some considerations that made them go this way

The app has been in production for over 2.5 years being used on a daily basis.

All it does - creates(inserts) a CustomObject3 record for a pair of product/contact or product/relationship or product/activity or product/opportunity via CRMOD
