Problems with caching in Open UI?

During a training session on OPEN UI we were told that the java proxy in OUI first caches the information in to browser and in case the information is not available the information is retrieved from server. I have a question in this regard:

Consider a scenario where user navigates to Contact List Applet which has 10 records. At this point I believe proxy will cache the information. User will then add 1 new record and and update 1 existing record. User then moves on and ultimately log out. My question is how the proxy behaves when user logs in next time and navigates to Contact Form Applet? Will proxy:
