How to create a batch definition to run batches from multiple servers FDMEE

I would like to know how batch definitions work in FDMEE. I have checked the manual but i am still not clear on how this works. For example I have a batch file that runs a data load from source A to target B, i add this batch file to the batch definition in FDMEE with desired parameters and schedule this to run. my question is where is the batch file to be located and what if some of the batch files are on different servers?  How can i schedule this to work
