Price List/Modifiers/Qualifiers

We have few requirements.

We have a flexfield in our price list, where we enter the customer classification and it is attached to customer master. Company wants to not use this classification and what is the best way to do this. I think they will have to create separate price list.

Modifier/Qualifier- Can this be used for this requirement

Also one item in 2 price list. How can I setup this, to check the correct price for a customer. in one price list the item is priced more than the other. different price.
