LCM Migration from 11.1.2.2 to 11.1.2.4

Gurus,

I went through the install document for EPM 11.1.2.4 and find that to upgrade from EPM 11.1.2.2 to EPM 11.1.2.4, following is the recommended approach.

When you apply the maintenance release, you must install to the same machine as the previous installation. Out
of place installations are not supported. To move to a new environment, first apply the maintenance release to
move to Release 11.1.2.4, and then use Lifecycle Management to migrate the deployment to a new
environment.

We have an out of place installation for EPM 11.1.2.4 and want to move the applications from EPM 11.1.2.2 to the EPM 11.1.2.4 server.

Is there a patch that can be applied on the EPM 11.1.2.2 environment and then the artifacts be exported from EPM 11.1.2.2 environment which are compatible and can be imported in EPM 11.1.2.4?
