Is there a way to use lead times to calculate a Promissed Delivery Date SD/OD?

We use SD/OD to handle direct shipping's.

Since there is no shipment on the SD.D-lines there no way to calculate the promissed delivery date for these lines via preferences.

Would someone have an idea on a system to calculate a Promissed Delivery Date SD/OD?

By the way we're on 9.0 upd 2 // TR 8.98.4.14
