Impact of updating Ledger Name

We are on 12.1.3. We are looking into changing our Ledger Name in GL to a more user-friendly name as this prints out on reports.

As per Doc ID 1359205.1 this is possible in R12. However we are very cautious about making this change. We will be testing as much as we can before making this change in Production.

We would like to know if anyone has changed their Ledger name, and if they were adversely affected by this change. Any user experience, good or bad, would be much appreciated.
