Financial Reporting - How to display a Date data type as a formatted date in a report

I created a report in Financial Reporting Studio 11.1.2.3 that displays data for 2 Account members defined in the Planning 11.1.2.3 outline as Date data types. These dates display on the report in numeric format; e.g., ##,###,###. The report uses an Essbase type DB connection. The Essbase DB type is BSO.

How can I convert/format these values to display in MM/DD/YY or MM/DD/YYYY format?
