HFM Security - Nested Groups - Performance Issues?
From Oracle security user guide - "Using very complex nested groups is not recommended"
We are planning to adopt using nested security groups for our HFM application. Reading through the support guides, I've seen a few instances where Oracle does not recommend the use of nested groups. We were hoping for some more detail as to why this is the recommendation, and if it applies to our case.
Our application:
We have data groups and role groups.
Data groups are only against our entity hierarchy.
There are about 10,000 nodes (base and parents) over about 10 organisational hierarchies.
We currently have about 60 data groups defined against different nodes in the hierarchy.
