Hot backup question

HI All,

we have a database of 5 T.B size which has hot backup scheduled at 11.00 pm  on net-apps with snapshot backup technologies,During month-end and first week it generates huge arch logs(more than 100) of size 1g,

we've seen cases of server crashes, internal errors which causes to perform Point in time recovery, since the amount of arch log generation is huge which is proportional to the time taken (at least 1 day) for log applying in case of recovery,  which is also having an impact of database availability.

so we intend to take frequent backups(thrice a day) during this period, is there any other better approach in dealing this problem. Please advise
