Setting up System Profile Values

Hi community,

The set up "GMD: Batch Step Sample Required" allow to ask a batch step sample at the complete step level. Does it affect other process if this option is setting up at "no"? I want to avoid this error screen : Quality results for step XX of batch XXXXX are not entered. I know if I put this set up at "no" that it should resolved my Issue but I want to be sure that I will not affect another process.

Second set up is about: GMD: Sample Closed Batches. This set up allow me to do sample on closed batch, same question as the first one..... Does it affect another process if I put it at "Yes". In our business process, we want to allow the sample creation on a closed batch.
