Error on UDC 06/ES in P081161

I processed the Hours of Service Report (R081161) and when verifying the records in P081161, I get a UDC warning on on the Employee Detail tab for the 06/ES (Employment Status).  It seems that the build is not pulling this value from the employee master, its blank.  Should this be populated by the build or so I need to add a blank record to UDC 06/ES to fix the error?
