Can patches be applied to JD Edwards VM Template installations?

Hello,

Forgive me, I am obviously new to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne VM Oracle templates and am trying to get some information for my team. We would like to test the new feature (BUG:17312820) included in Tools release 9.1.5, however I am unable to find a VM template with a release higher than 9.1 update 4.4.

Is it either possible to apply a tools patch to a VM template (are they able to upgrade like that?) or is there a newer version of the VM template download that I missed.
