Hours of Service Workbench Questions

I am having a hard time understanding when I should archive the records from the Hours of Service Workbench.  If I archive them, are they going to be used when creating the 1095 - C form?  Does the 1095-C form only look at the active records, and not the archived ones?  Also, what if I want to delete an item that was generated by the computer (not manual).  Is this possible?
