Prepaid Accounting not working properly
Prepaid utilization rows—rows with an analysis type of UAJ (Prepaid Utilization Adjustment) and UTL (Prepaid Utilization for Billing)—are costs that are prepaid by the customer and used over a period of time. Prepaid utilization rows are not handled in the accounting rules setup. PeopleSoft Contracts generates UTL rows and sends them to the PeopleSoft Billing system when a prepayment is used. PeopleSoft Billing generates UAJ rows. The Process Project Accounting process handles the accounting for utilization rows separately. Deferred revenue is debited from the prepaid accounting setup, and UAR is credited. The UAR is populated on the UTL and UAJ rows from the BIL rows that are sent to PeopleSoft Billing.
