Routing Update

Hi Team,

I need some help regarding update of Department and then routing of items.  In one of operating unit there are two department with different resources. Business user wants to merge both of them and update the routing for the items accordingly.  I want to know  the steps we should follow to accomplish this task and what are the potential risk. I am new to BOM and WIP. Appreciate any help.
