Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. MOSC will now require that member accounts in our community be associated to a *corporate* email address. This means that users with generic domains (such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, and others) will no longer be granted access to the discussion forums and ideas labs. Hi All

Please share your experience when upgrading and patching the ODA with your "must do" pre-patch/upgrade check list

Here are some 'best practices' based on Service Requests

=========================================================

Check ALL disks / diskgroups and make sure that they are all online and healthy
oakcli stordiag [e#_]pd_## .. is a good disk level check for ASM, OS and multipath
- Fix or replace any disks before considering upgrading (if 2.10 or lower for your source make sure you check compatibility with the new disk - See ODA + HGST based notes)
Make sure your _current_ version levels are matching on both nodes ( oakcli show version -detail )
