PJR - Concept of Resource Utilization

Hi All,

We are implenting  Project Resource Management on R12.1.3. Business would like to understand the Resource Utilization Concept.

For Example: We are assigned XX Resource for the period of 01-Dec-2015 to 31-Dec-2015 which are equal to 176 hours. And, XX recorded actual timecards for the 1st week of Dec-15 for 40 hrs.

Can some one advice me to understand the Resource Utilization Concept along with example if possible.
