BI Publisher: Conditional Formatting - using if statements to remove wording

edited Jun 25, 2018 5:33PM in BI Publisher (MOSC) 16 commentsAnswered

Hello,

Regarding the XML transcript formatting (RTF) - we are moving the Official Transcript to the XML format. I am trying to use conditional formatting in BI Publisher to remove some wording in the new program we added this year.

For example, we have the College of Sciences and a new program called "College of Sciences Accelerated".

When a student is in the "College of Sciences Accelerated", that's the description that is printed on the official transcript. However, we do not want the "accelerated" to be printed, only "College of Sciences".

I have found that there is conditional formatting available in the "Create an RTF Template" document, and I was going to use it, but wanted to know if that was the best choice and if there were any other suggestions out there to accomplish the same result.

Howdy, Stranger!
