New COA excluding project segment and Project module configured
Hi Experts,
We have 8 segments in our COA and out of 8 segments, one is "Project Segment", where we track project transactions and cost by running reports on "Project segment"
Project module is not currently installed/configured.
Now we have re-designed our COA, where "Project segment" is omitted from COA and Project module is configured
Query:
1. How to track project cost and balances.
2. Business Scenario: We buy consulting works/hours in bulk from IT companies but don't know how many hours will be utilized by different Projects.
Let's say we buy 1000 hrs from a company XXX by raising a purchase order (without projects), Project1 used 200 hours and Project2 used 300 hours, we need to book the cost to Project1 and Project2, how do we do that, what are the accounting impacts, what considerations we need to keep in mind.
