Returning excess part

Hi Team,

Need your help in the process of excess returning by the Technician. After going through various pots and docs I started the excess return process and fortunately started well however I stuck in end. So I need few details in regards to returning the excess part they are as follows

1. Please advice is it necessary that item should be IB trackable which we want to return? Actually I received this error while returning the part

ERROR:

This item(SERVICE KIT-OIL FILTER(3)) is not Installed Base Trackable. For an item to be IB Trackable, the "Comms_nl_trackable_flag" needs to be set to "Y" for the combination of Inventory item (252609) and Inventory Master Organization ID (92) passed. Please check the item definition.Please check the item definition.
